CSK vs DC IPL 2020 MATCH 7: Not gone Dhoni’s bat, Chennai’s second consecutive defeat; Delhi won by 44 runs

Delhi beat Chennai by 44 runs in the 7th IPL 2020 match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC). Batting first after losing the toss, Delhi Capitals were 175 for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs. Chasing a target of 176 runs, Chennai Super Kings were 131 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.

Delhi Capitals targeted 176 runs in front of Dhoni and Co. after getting the first batting invitation from Chennai, prithvi shaw, who scored 64 off 43 balls, Shikhar Dhawan scored 35, skipper Shreyas Iyer contributed 26 and Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten 37. Piyush Chawla took 2 for Chennai, and Tom Curren picked up 1 wicket.

Faf Duplessis scored the highest 43 for Chennai. Kedar Jadhav contributed 26 runs. Shane Watson (14), Murali Vijay (10) and Ritaraj Gaekwad (5) failed. Ravindra Jadeja scored 12 and Sam Curran scored an unbeaten 1. Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s bat did not run in the match, he could make 15 runs on 12 balls.  For Delhi, Kagiso Rabada took the highest 3 wickets for 2 wickets for Erich Nortz. Akshar Patel got 1 success.
